Ken’s Math and Science Ads
I’ve received an amazing response from friends, family and the public on the ExxonMobil Math and Science Ads playing during the 2008 Olympics. I’d like to thank everyone for their strong support, and also encourage folks to go out, talk to kids, and get them interested in a career in science, math, engineering, and/or technology. My parents and mentors did it for me; we need to be sure to do it for the next generation.

This ad played during the opening ceremonies on August 8th. It included Kim Bates, a Senior Geoscientist, and Cheryl Gomez, an Engineer.

I was sitting watching the Olympics with friends tonight (one of whom is a math educator) and when your commercial came on, they thought I was crazy when I said, “I think I recognize that guy from my class at Princeton.” So even more improbable than seeing someone I know on television, I was actually able to find my freshman facebook and located you (I had to prove to these people that I wasn’t just pretending)! Anyway, from there I found your website and as an engineer myself, I felt I had to leave a comment… Keep up the good work!
